Our Mission
Everyday, millions of citizens in this country alone have no or limited access to information about critical news events, meaningful and lucrative employment opportunities and traditional forms of entertainment because they have limited hearing or vision.
Eye Audio Radio seeks to change that, by creating enjoyable and accessible experiences for people and families of all abilities and disabilities through live captioned and descriptive visual radio coverage.
Our Story
It all started when our founder realized that disabled sports fans of all kinds did not always have access to enjoy the same experience of a sports game as a non-disabled fan.
Jack, our founder, wondered: “how many types of media are out there, and how are those mediums accessible?” So began his research and planning to create the technology that would bring people with disabilities the media they need, in a manner best suited for them.
Several years later, after much trial and error, the technology and market for accessible tech have aligned. Through our sister corporation, Peacock Communications, we created a new communication system with COMMplements, our proprietary software company, to provide folks with a way to hear what they cannot see, or read what they cannot hear.
This has allowed us to offer captioning or descriptive narration for people who are blind or deaf and/or experiencing vision or hearing loss. These tools are also helpful for people with intellectual or cognitive disabilities. Whether hardware or software is needed, consider your solution built with our ‘COMMplements’!
